Mountain Resort popularly
known as Khali Estate is located in
the Binsar Wild life Sanctuary near
Ayarpani village in Almora district
of Uttaranchal.
Mountain Resort is
situated at an altitude of 2000 meters
(6600ft.) above sea level. It is 22kms.
by motor road, north of Almora town.
All types of vehicles including buses,
cars and jeeps can easily come right
up to the Resort.
The Resort is situated
on the top of a hill surrounded by
pine and oak forest facing the vast
panorama of the majestic snow clad
mountains of the central Himalayas.
The peaks visible from the Resort
are Nanda Devi (25645 ft.), Nanda
Ghunti, Trishul, Badrinath (Chaukhambha),
Kedarnath, Gangotri, Shivling, Bandar
punch, Kamat, Nanda Kote etc.
Accommodation at Mountain Resort is
provided in round cottages facing
the vast Himalayan range. Those wanting
an antique touch can opt for the bungalow
(The main house). All the rooms in
the bungalow and the cottages at Mountain
Resort are furnished double rooms
and each room has an attached bath
cum toilet. There is 24 hour running
water in the bath rooms. Each bathroom
has a geyser for hot water facility.

Activities at
Mountain Resort
1.A spacious Library :
Those of you into reading, may not have to
worry about packing your books because we
have a spacious library with over Five thousand
books with topics ranging from history, philosophy,
literature, science and as diverse as religion
and culture. We have a large collection of
books in English, Hindi,Sanskrit, Gujarati,
Bengali, Urdu and many Foreign Languages..
2.Games:
a) Badminton Court
b) Table Tennis
c) Other indoor games.
d)Children can also enjoy the swings and hammocks
or just run around in our small playground
amidst pine and cedar trees.
3) Walks in the Estate.
A stroll through the 25 acres of Khali Estate
offers the guests the view of the nearby hills
and villages. Also if you are a nature lover
you would be enchanted to see varieties of
wild flowers& plants enroute.
4)Jungle Walks
Rhododendrons, pine , oak and cedar, you would
see them all if you choose to go for a jungle
walk.
5) Bird Watching.
If you are a keen bird watcher, then you can
catch a glimpse of a wide variety of birds
right from the wood pecker to the very majestic
Himalayan magpie. All you need is a keen eye,
and not to mention, a camera to click at the
right moment.
6)Short trek to a nearby Village
For those who love to explore , a short trek
to a nearby village, is a great idea. You
can sip hot tea prepared by the villagers
and talk to them to know more about their
culture and way of life.
7). Bonfire.
Bonfires are arranged in the Resort premises
in the evenings and on special occassions
folk songs, as well as dances are also arranged.
If the weather is cold, one can sit besides
the warm fire place in the main Drawing room.
8).Attend the Aarti at our Temple
Our Guests can attend the puja and aarti in
the mornings and the evenings.
9). Visit to our Kitchen garden and our
dairy.
Mountain Resort has a small kitchen garden
and a dairy. Our guests can try their hands
in gardening or the activities in the dairy
farm.
10). Day excursions to Binsar, Jageshwar,
Kausani, Ranikhet etc.
You can take off to Binsar, Kausani or Ranikhet
for a day excursion or can ramble through
Jageshwar, where sky high deodar trees line

11). Camping can also be arranged on request.
We have all the camping eqipments including
Toilet tents, Wash tents and also mess tents.
12).Conference Facilities. - Our conference
hall can accomodate upto fifty people. The
interiors are all wooden which matches with
the environment.We also provide all the facilities
for conferences like projectors, screens etc.
