KULLU-MANALI & THE LAND OF ENDLSS DISOVERY (LAHAUL)

Day 01

DELHI - MANALI
Departure from Delhi at 20h00 by Deluxe Bus to Manali (570 km).

Day 02

MANALI
Arrive by late morning. Check-in at Hotel. Rest of the Morning free. Afternoon walk around the town to explore the Hadimba Temple - built in 1553, n superbly crafted four-tiered pagoda roof and Vashisth Temples and the hot springs both. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 03

MANALI - SOLANG - JAGATSUKH - NAGGAR
After breakfast visit of Solang Volley (14 km) - the most picturesque valley of -the region. It has good ski slopes and during summers it attracts paragliding sport. Afternoon visit Jagatsukh (6wkrrr) acrd Naggar (12 km) - once the capital of Kullu has same ancient temples including the elegant Gauri Shankar shrine built in the 8th century. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 04

MANALI - ROHTANG - KEYLONG
After early breakfast drive to Rohtang Pass (AIt.3978 m or 13050 feet/ 51 km). Visible opposite- Rahtang is a labyrinth of high peaks and hanging glaciers enclosed between the Chandra and Bhaga rivers. The road descends from the Rohtang Pass into a landscape of bare hills, steep ridges. cliffs of bare rock, deep ravines and valleys strewn with the moraine left behind by receding glaciers, enroute view the Gondla - a tall imposing structure of a fortification, up on a hill. Reach Keylong (Alt. 3350 m/ 64 km) - the district headquarters of Lahaul.-Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel/Camp at Keylong or Jispa.

Day 05

KEYLONG - TRILOKINATH - UDEYPUR - KEYLONG
After breakfast excursion to: Triloknnth Temple (53 km) - an ancient hilltop shrine noted for its fine woodcarving. The temple is sacred to Hindus and Buddhists alike. Lunch. Continue to Udeypur:- (16 km). Visit the Mrikula Devi Temple, built in the 15" century by the ruler of Chamba, this temples has exquisite woodcarving and an image of Mahishasuramardini. Return to Hotel/Camp. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06

KEYLONG - MANALI
Breakfast, Morning free in Keyiong to visit by foot the 12th century Kharding Gompa which has a rich library of Buddhist scriptures or Shashur Gompa (3 km) perched upon n mountain-side opposite Kharding, this gompa has a fifteen feet Thanka and invaluable wall paintings depicting all the 84 siddhas of Buddhism. By noon drive to Manali (115 km) with Packet Lunch. Evening arrive Manali.
Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 07

MANALI - DELHI
Breakfast at Hotel. Morning free or visit the market. Evening Bus to Delhi

Day 08

DELHI
Arrive Delhi in the morning.
