Welcome to the lesser-known Himalayas! Hidden
and cut off from all for most of the year, the valleys of
Kinnaur and Spiti emerge from their cloak of snow only for
a few months. And what a world they reveal. About 176 kms
from Shimla, you journey into the inner Himalays starts from
Sarahan. A beautiful they village surrounded by magnificient
snow peaks and apple orchards this was the ancient capital
of Rampur. Bushair, one of the princely states in the Shimla
hills. An ideal starting point for treks into the higher Himalayas,
Sarahan is also known for it s centuries old Bhimakali Temple.
Moving on from Sarahan, at a distance of
230 kms from Shimla we reach Sangla, a picturesque little
village with a small population, famous for its trout fishing
possibilities. Situated on a slope with houses rising one
above the other, and the gigantic Kinner-Kailash Peak towering
from behind, Sangla is also famous for the impressive and
historical Kamru Fort which has now been dedicated to the
Kamakshi Temple.
At a height of 2,700m the Banjara Camp -
Sangla, is surrounded by towering mountains on all sides and
is set on the banks of the Baspa River that surges through
the valley. Long walk to discover the amazing fauna and flora
of the valley, treks to view snow covered Himalayan peaks
and along rivers, angling for trout, experiencing some of
the local culture and traditions, para-gliding and river crossing
are only some of the experience that will etch themselves
in your memory
The
Camp is an ideal setting for total relaxation with luxurious
Swiss-style tents that hve attached bathrooms, a well-equipped
kitchen and evening bonfires that keep the chill away. Plus,
you have the option of going on some amazing Jeep Safaris
to keep the adrenaline going!

Chitkul - The last village on the
old Hindustan-Tibet trade route.
Sangla Meadows - Fully day's walk
to the green postures.
Rakcham - Beautiful 4 hour walk along
the Baspa River to Rokcham village.
Baspa River- Flows along the valley - Great
for trout fishing.
Batseri Village- Just across the camp, Great
hill architecture. The local 'devta' temple is must see.
