This picturesque
little hamlet offers a breathtaking view of the Kinner-Kalish
range. The range towers up to a height of 6705m and yet, here
it looks so close that you can almost reach out your hand
and touch it. Kalpa is also home to the 'Chilgoza' tree which
is found in abundance here, Other than Kalpa, the 'Chilgoza'
can only be found in Iraq and Turkey.
The
Kinner Villa is a beautiful building made of teak and stone,
set in an apple orchard, that looks out on the magnificent
mountain range. Here, you're surrounded by all creature comforts,
as well as, the true beauty of nature in all it's magnificence.
Among the many exhilarating walks and treks at Kalpa are,
then 4 km walk from the Retreat to Rogi Village, with a view
of the Kinner Kailash range all the way, and the full day
Kalpla Meadows trek of the alpine meadows through thick deodar
forest.
