Day 01:

Delhi-Rishikesh
(325 Kms)
Pick up from Railway Station or Airport and departure
for Haridwar. Overnight stay at Haridwar.

Day 02:

Rishikesh-Joshimath (250
Kms)
After breakfast
leave for Joshimath. Lunch enroute in Rudraprayag. Overnight
stay at Joshimath. Hotel Dronagiri.
Joshimath: is the winter home of Sri Badrinathji.
It is situated on the slopes above the confluence of
Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. It is one of the 'maths'
established by Adi guru Shankaracharya.

Day 03 :

Joshimath-Govindghat-Ghangharia
(25 Kms drive / 13 kms on foot)
After breakfast
leave for Govindghat thereafter 13 Kms trek to Ghangharia.
Overnight stay at Ghangharia.
Govindghat: is the confluence of Alaknanda and
Laxman Ganga Rivers. It has an imposing Gurudwara named
after Guru Govind Singh.
Ghangharia: is the base camp for trek to Valley
of Flowers where lodging and boarding facilities are
available.

Day 04:

Ghangharia - Valley of
flowers (5 Kms trek)
After breakfast
with pack lunch leave for Valley of flowers. Return
back to Ghangharia. Overnight stay at Ghangharia
Valley of flowers: East of Badrinath is the exotic
valley of Flowers in a conical shape with the river
Pushpawati flowing through it. This valley has been
declared as a National Park, It is 18 Kms trek form
Govindghat. A must - see for all nature lovers.

Day 05:

Ghangharia - Hemkund Sahib
(06 Kms trek)
After breakfast
leave for Hemkund Sahib. After Darshan and Pooja return
back to Ghangharia. Overnight stay at Ghangharia.
Hemkund Sahib: Near the Valley of Flowers is
the holy lake Hemkund - an important pilgrimage of the
Sikhs and Hindus. Along it shores is the sacred Sikh
Shrine where Guru Govind Singh, the tenth guru unified
with God after prolonged Meditation in his previous
birth.
Nearby is the Laxman temple. The reflection of surrounding
snow clad peaks in its placid waters offers a scenic
sight.

Day 06 :

Ghangharia-Govindghat-Badrinath
(13 Kms trek / 25 Kms Drive)
After breakfast
leave for Govindghat. Lunch at Govindghat and leave
for Badrinath. Overnight stay at Badrianath.
Badrinath: Cradled
in the twin Mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan is the
holiest of the four main shrines- Badrinath along the
left bank of Alaknanda with towering Neelkantha Peak as
the Splendid backdrop. Once the spot was carpeted with
' badris' or wild berries and hence was famous as Badri
van.
Legend has it, when the Ganga was requested to descent
to earth to help suffering humanity, the earth was unable
to withstand the force of its descent. Therefore the mighty
Ganga was split into 12 holy channels.River Alaknanda
was one of them that later became the abode of Lord Vishnu
or Badrinath.
The temple of Shri Badrinathji on the banks of the Alaknanda
River dates back to vedic times. Situated at an altitude
of 3,133 mts., the present temple is believed to have
been built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya - an 8th
century Philosopher saint, who also established a math
here. Also Known as "Vishal Badri', Badrinath is one of
the Panch Badris. The temple has three parts - Garbha
Griha (the sanctum sanctorum), Darshan Mandap ( for Pujas)
and Sobha Mandap ( for devotees to assemble).

Day 07:

Badrinath - Day Free at
Leisure.
Day free at leisure.
Darshan of Badrinath Temple, sightseeing covering Bhimpul
Vyas Gufa and Charan Paduka. Overnight stay at Narayan
Palace.
Badrinath with its great scenic beauty and attractive
recreational spots in the vicinity attracts an ever
increasing number of secular visitors each year. Significant
places are Panch Dharas, Panch Shilas, Tapt Kund, Narad
Kund, Brahma Kapal, Sheshnetra Charan Paduka and Neelkanth.
Panch Badris: Badrinath, Yogdhyan Badri, Bhavishya
Badri, Bridha Badri, Adi Badri form the Panch Badris
are situated in the valleys along the Alaknanda River.

Day 08:

Badrinath - Auli (61 Kms)
After breakfast
departure for Auli. After sightseeing night halt at
Joshimath, Hotel Dronagiri.
Auli: is an Ideal ski resort in the Garhwal Himalayas
with its slopes comparable to the best in the world.
Perched at an elevation of 2,500-
3,050 mts. Auli not only offers a magnificent view of
the Himalayan ranges but is a delight for winter sport
enthusiasts.

for Rishikesh. Overnight stay at Rishikesh. Hotel Natraj
